what to chat about...
I've been meaning to update this blog for the longest, but I've been busy involved in other projects. But I open the "stage" for anyone who has any suggestions.. perhaps a movie you've seen? A girl you took out? Tell me how you've worked things out. You can say how you've screwed up as well, I'm an equal opportunity employer! :)

New Post
finally, I get to post something new and refreshing. I haven't been on for too long, but I will let you know that I am about to start turning this blog to a different direction. Perhaps I will talk about politics or something that may interest more people, as I like to conversate and get into and share everyone's mind. :)

try something new
During the past few months I have found it difficult to stay motivated to work out. I have found that playing racquetball twice a week instead of doing a normal workout has helped me to stay motivated. It is good to come up with an activity that you like to do and work it into your daily routine.

Victory!
This weekend I played in a softball tournement, which for me is a big deal. I never really liked baseball growing up and as I got older, I still really don't like it that much. I decided to play with some guys from the neighborhood to see if I still do not like baseball (or softball). As I played I really enjoyed the friendship of being around the guys and hanging out. It was a lot of fun as far as the social aspect goes. As far as the game play goes, I am not that great and consider it a success if I get on base. Anyways we played in a tournment this weekend and our team won the whole thing. To us that was a big deal since we came back from a 10 run deficit in the last inning, the other team was disapointed but our team wasn't.
I remember growing up and being lowsy in little league (Reference from Brian Regan). I played the outfield, I eventually was good enough to not play in right field and would play more than the minimum of 2 innings. I still was not the best at playing or hitting and I have not improved any on my skills. Softball was a fun alternate sport, I learned you are either sprinting or stopped, you don't really have another speed. My legs were really tight after playing since I was not that use to sprinting.

workout musings
Ever have a workout go long and you go to get into the shower only to find all the stalls are taken? This has happened to me on several occasions. Not only are they all taken but the people that are using the stalls are in the stalls for an extremely long time.
Keep in mind if you are taking a shower at your local gym for longer than 5 minutes and you’re a guy, people are going to start to talk about what you are really doing in the shower. Keep in mind there are other people than you in the world that might have better things to do with their time than wait for you to finish taking a shower. If you are going to take longer than 5 minutes please go home and not have other people wait on you. It is rude and inconsiderate.
I often hear about people peeing in the shower. This is a practice that is like peeing in a public swimming pool. It is something that is done when you are 5. However, you are not 5 anymore and should not be practicing peeing in the shower; other people use the shower after you.
Just as common practice due to the amount of people who do pee in the shower, wear flip flops. It will help your feet not get contaminated by other peoples germs.

What is up with Cell phones while working out? I get to the gym between 6:30 and 7 and there is at least 1 person who is talking on their cell phone. Now if I was a person getting calls at 6:30 I would be really pissed off.
This poses 2 questions:
How many people want to get phone calls that early?
How important do you have to be to be making calls that early?
I for one am not important enough to be getting calls early in the morning, nor do I want to be calling people that early in the morning. I appreciate the friends that I do have and I do not want to be irritating other people while at the gym.
The other thing I noticed was a trainer who likes to text people while helping people out with their workouts. That is plain rude. You have a person who is paying to have the trainer telling you how to work our and he can not take the time out of his life to not send text messages to his friends. I would demand my money back if I paid for a personal trainer and he

Growing up
Growing up playing video games I could only dream of doing physically challenging stunts like aggressive real life rock climbing. After seeing a news article on this it made me realize this is something that I would of liked to of done when I was younger. This seems to be a happy median between indoor rock climbing, gymnastics, and running. (yeah) When I was younger I use to do a lot of rock climbing and I never knew this sport existed. It makes me want to get back into rock climbing and start training in Parkour. This is a sport that more and more people are getting into. With that it is a sport that needs training and discipline. There are many sites out on the Internet that talk about this sport. One of the fathers of this sport is David Belle.
As you can tell this is a sport not for the beginners in the fitness world. Before starting to train it is a good idea to be in somewhat of a physical condition, know your limitations, and don't try anything that you know you can not do. As you train in any sports it is a good idea to know what your limitations are and what you can and can not do. Remember to stay safe and not to do anything stupid.
